Interior architect in Marrakech — designing spaces that feel like you.

I+G Partners designs the interiors of villas, riads, apartments, hotels and restaurants in Marrakech. From reading the volumes to bespoke furniture, every mission is treated as an architectural project, not decoration.

I+G Partners, interior architect in Marrakech

Based in Guéliz, I+G Partners signs interior architecture projects that go beyond decoration. The atelier designs the space itself — proportions, light, layouts, materials, built-in furniture — to produce an interior consistent with the life that unfolds in it. A mission can stand alone or extend a complete architectural project, from design to site supervision.

Interior architecture, from plan to furniture

Four complementary skills, deployed together or separately depending on the nature of the project.

01

Layout & optimisation

Reading of existing plans, redrawing of volumes, circulation and openings. The space is rethought so every room finds its proportion and its use.

02

Bespoke design

Built-in joinery, custom furniture, storage, dressing rooms, kitchens and bookcases. Furniture is drawn with the walls, not placed in front of them.

03

Interior renovation

Transformation of existing layouts, electrical and plumbing upgrades, acoustic treatment, climate control and improved thermal comfort.

04

Materials & finishes

Material selection, sample boards and precise specifications. Stone, wood, polished concrete, marble, textiles — every choice is tested on a sample.

Types of projects we handle

Interior architect or decorator?

Interior architect

Designs the space itself

  • Plans, volumes, circulation, openings
  • Built-in joinery and bespoke furniture
  • Electrical, plumbing, climate control, lighting
  • Contractor coordination and site supervision
  • Technical responsibility for built choices
Decorator

Dresses an existing space

  • Choice of colours, textiles and accent materials
  • Brand furniture, accessories, wall art
  • Staging and styling of what already exists
  • No changes to plans or structure
  • Complementary work, shorter scope

I+G Partners stands clearly on the side of interior architecture: we redraw spaces before thinking about furniture. For a project where only the décor is at stake, a decorator remains the natural partner.

How an interior architecture project unfolds

Four legible stages, precise deliverables at every milestone. The 60 projects delivered by the atelier have all followed this same method.

  1. 01

    Listening & survey

Reading of the plans, site visit, program and budget. We frame the uses, the expectations and the technical constraints of the existing space.

  2. 02

    Sketch & layout

Layout plans, sections, 3D views: volumes, light and circulation are settled before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Materials & bespoke

Sample boards, specifications, working drawings for built-in furniture. Every detail is drawn, costed and approved.

  4. 04

    Site supervision

Contractor coordination, regular visits, control of finishes and lifting of reservations through to handover.

Interior architect in Marrakech — frequent questions

How much does an interior architect in Marrakech cost?

Fees depend on the scope of the mission — a simple layout, a complete bespoke design, a heavy renovation — as well as the surface area, the level of finish and the number of contractors to coordinate. For an apartment as for a villa, a precise quote follows a first reading of the plans and the program. The most common range is 10% to 15% of the cost of works for a full mission.

What is the difference between an interior architect and a decorator?

A decorator works essentially on surfaces — colours, textiles, accent furniture — without changing the space itself. An interior architect designs the space: volumes, layouts, circulation, built-in joinery, plumbing, electrical, lighting. The two professions complement each other, but their scope and responsibility are not comparable.

Do you work on riads and hospitality projects?

Yes, the atelier regularly handles riads in the medina as well as guesthouses, boutique hotels and restaurants in Marrakech. These projects call for a specific reading of heritage, operating constraints and public-access standards, on top of the interior design itself.

Interior architecture and building architecture: do you do both?

Yes — I+G Partners is first and foremost an architecture firm, and interior architecture naturally extends our work on volumes, facades and building permits. A mission can be strictly interior, or integrated into a complete architectural project from design to site supervision.

How does an interior architecture project unfold?

Four stages structure the mission: listening to the brief and surveying the spaces, sketches and layout plans, selection of materials and design of bespoke furniture, then site supervision through to handover. Each stage produces precise deliverables — plans, 3D views, sample boards, specifications — that keep decisions legible.
